The Stories
Doris’ china painting featured beautiful floral patterns with rich blended hues of purples, blues, and greens. Etherial and lovely, these pieces were made for friends and family and typically given as gifts for special occasions.
Doris began painting China in the late 1960s. The beauty of her work attracted many local artists and she soon began teaching China painting at both her home in Florida and her cabin in the North Georgia mountains. Her most common theme includes beautiful flowers and fruits. They stand out because they are not simply decorations, they are works of art on China.
